Report on the 2007 "Friends" Session
441 people attended the 76th Illinois Grand Assembly Session
in Springfield, Illinois from July 5-8, 2007.
Amy Burger, Grand Worthy Advisor
2006-2007, presided over a lovely session.
22 Out of State visitors included guests from:
California, Iowa-Minnasota, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri,
Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.
Members from 17 assemblies attended and all active Rainbow
Girls in attendance were voting delegates.
A bowling party and official outing to the Lincoln Presidential
Museum were new events enjoyed by many attendees.
Majority Service was performed by Mrs. Marie Renda, Supreme
Worthy Advisor.
Some of the many awards and highlights include:
Sherry Smith and Stacy Newton presented a full scholarship
to attend camp to Katlynn Huffines from Virden Assembly #34.
This scholarship is in honor of the 90th birthday
of the founder of Illinois Rainbow Leadership Camp, Mrs.
Wilma Wright.
Audrey Suchomiski from Springfield #18 won the 11 & 12 year old program giving her a seat next to Amy Burger at the head table during the Grand Banquet.
