Report on the 2003 "Dream" Session

438 people attended the 72st Illinois Grand Assembly Session in Decatur, Illinois from July 11-13, 2003.
Miss Teresa Carney, Grand Worthy Advisor 2002-2003, presided over a beautiful session.  Out of State visitors included Mrs. Pauline Stonehocker, Supreme Worthy Advisor, Mrs. Linda Little, Supreme Faith and guests from the following jurisdictions:  Alaska, California, Canada, Conneticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, South Carolina and Wisconsin. Members from 24 assemblies attended, with 22 sending voting delegates.
A few of the many awards and highlights include:
G. Wilber Bell Award for Greatest Percentage of increase in membership:
1st place with 75% increase--Radiant #27
2nd place with 58.3% increase--Bushnell #36
Kolmer Memorial Award for Most Petitions in the last year:
1st place with 13 petitions--Bushnell #36
2nd place with 8 petitions--Antioch #23
Best OverAll Scrapbook was awarded to Bloomington-Normal #7
Best Contents Scrapbook went to Virden #34
Best Cover Scrapbook went to Springfield #18
and Best Theme Scrapbook went to Sunshine #114.
1st Place in the Pom Pon Competition went to Springfield #18.
1st Place Team Ritual Competition went to District #10, Sunshine #114, Friendship #100, Arlington Heights #81 & Jewell #6
Grand Charity Fund total announced 7-12-2003 as $9760.85.  Later additions brought the total to $10,075.00
Katie Koney, from Oak Forest # 103, was named Rainbow Girl of the Year 2003-2004.
Kendra Golwitzer, Mother Advisor of Radiant #27 was named Mother Advisor of the Year for 2003-2004
F. W. (Hezzie) Bariether was named Rainbow Dad of the Year for 2003-2004

Mrs. Pauline Stonehocker, Supreme Worthy Advisor made the following appointments for the upcoming Supreme Assembly Session in 2004:
Kari Kinsall, Dean of the Grand Cross of Color Team 2002-2003, to read her report
Joy Marie Kuelper, Worthy Advisor from Moline #22, to read her Tribute to the Christian Flag
Emma Wreckler, Grand Soloist from Antioch #23 to sing "Climb Every Mountain"

Miss Carrie Becker and the 2003-2004 Grand Family were installed.
