II. General Information
for recommending a scholarship
The scholarship committee recommending girls for scholarships are not held responsible for the payment of the scholarship in case of a drop-out. In the event of a girl dropping out of school during the school year, she would be required to repay, in full, all monies advanced from Illinois Grand Assembly. Parents would also be responsible for the amount of scholarship monies used.
The recipient of the scholarship is required to submit a transcript of grades after each grading period to the Chairman of Scholarships. No release of scholarship monies will be made until transcripts are received.
The amount of the scholarship is paid directly to the college or university and not to the girl receiving the scholarship.
For continued award, the recipient must satisfactorily maintain the requirements upon which the award was originally granted.
The scholarship will be awarded to an Illinois Rainbow Girl who is a high school graduate, and will be based on scholastic standing, character, and financial need.
III. Application
